The Children’s Concert is presented in collaboration with the Saint Paul Civic Symphony and ArtStart. This special performance will feature a collaboration with Jan Gilbert on a Somali story piece that highlights traditional Somali drumming and poetry.

Spoken word poet Muna Abdulahi will bring to life “The Travels of Igal Shidad: A Somali Folklore” through her powerful performance, accompanied by a traditional Somali drummer and the symphony.
