Poet-in-residency: gideon Pond elementary

Muna Abdulahi designed and implemented formal daily poetry lessons for 4th-grade students, guiding them through creative expression, performance, and the art of storytelling. Through engaging activities and structured workshops, students explored rhythm, imagery, and voice—developing both confidence and a deeper appreciation for poetry. One poem from each student was selected to be printed in a chapbook, celebrating their unique voices and giving them a tangible keepsake of their work.
